Jagdish Dalal reminded me of this great quote from George Bernard Shaw: “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
I like this quote because it has so much of what Vested is all about embedded in it:
Progress: Vested is a collaborative business model that progressive companies use to help them create, share and expand value with their partners.
Change: Companies that enter Vested partnerships make a transformative commitment—a “leap of faith” if you will—to leave old-school mindsets and practices, such as transaction-based contracting based on self-interest, behind. They change their thinking and actions to a shared-value, outcome-based business model grounded in trust and guiding principles.
By changing their minds to the Vested way, companies can change anything.
And that brings me to another great quote from Shaw. “The reasonable man adapts himself to the conditions that surround him…The unreasonable man adapts surrounding conditions to himself… All progress depends on the unreasonable man.”
Let’s create a rallying cry for us all to be unreasonable!
